Crash Diets and Healthy Life Skills

No matter  how much you wish your sweet-ass that a crash diet will work or some faddy eating system will have the ability produce miracles, they generally don’t.

They don’t work because they’re just not designed to become a part of life for the long haul and invariably “lack” something – more often than not the essential vitamins and minerals needed to keep you healthy, energetic and on the ball.

They don’t help you to tap into any latent healthy living life skills you may already have or go any way towards helping you learn any new skills you really ought to have.

They’re also woefully inadequate when it comes to helping develop any healthy new “habits” that actually may have the potential to get you on the road to success.

If you want to lose weight or get fit and healthy for good, you need to learn the healthy living life skills required to eat healthily and exercise more and then do it.

Eat right every day and move more, whether it’s at the gym, running around while you walk the dog or swimming with the kids – that means swimming not sitting at the side of the pool with a beer in your hand or hanging on to the side gently floating your legs back and forth!

Learn how to eat healthily and move more.

Do these things for a month or so and your inner imp Autonomy will wake like sleeping beauty from a slumber to make the new regime into a habit that’s easier to stick to.

Self-Discipline will have a little more muscle to keep “team you” on the straight and narrow.

Shoulda, Coulda and Woulda will sit sulkily but relatively quietly in the corner.

Doubt will be left speechless.

And Laziness will probably curl up and die from the heart attack that would have been yours in a few years time if you hadn’t decided to take control of your body.

Also, stop overeating – eat only 80% of what you normally eat, then wait 15 min. …and eat more if you still feel like it.
