Today’s society has us flat out; bombarded with mostly useless information that eats into the precious amount of time we have each day. Just this morning, I was listening to a Podcast that suggests we receive (on average) over a hundred emails a day!! It’s no wonder we sometimes wish the world and the comments on it that our inner thoughts and self-talk conjure up would shut the heck up sometimes.
Much of the time, we fail to achieve our goals because we are distracted by all this noise.
Today’s thought for the day is this:
Your destiny is to fulfill those things upon which you focus most intently. So choose to keep your focus on that which is truly magnificent, beautiful, uplifting and joyful. Your life is always moving toward something. – Ralph Marston
People that are successful focus their attention away from all this useless noise. Their Inner Imp Self-Discipline has them keep their heads down and their attention firmly pinned on what they are trying to achieve and what they need to do to achieve it. That is how they got where they are and that is how you can arrive at the destination of your choice too.
You don’t need more time, more money, god-given talent or any other divine (or mortal) intervention. What you need is to focus and keep going.
If you want to be more successful in life, choose a focus and then stick with it because whatever you focus your attention and effort on has the potential to become a job done!
- Take time today to review your short, middle and long-term goals in life. How are you progressing? When was the last time you ticked a goal off your list as complete? Have you even thought about and written down any short, middle or long-time goals? If you haven’t already got a list, why not?! Go get one and start living life rather than just existing.
